Whether you don’t have time to see your doctor, don’t have a family doctor, or want a more convenient alternative to visiting a clinic, our new Online Doctors benefit can help you.
Included with every Elements plan, Medavie Blue Cross’ Online Doctors benefit now covers three general practitioner visits a year—right from your computer or mobile device.
- Includes a secure digital health record for storing, sharing and managing your health data.
- Provides the option to securely text, call, or video chat with the doctor.
- Includes digital prescriptions (free delivery or pickup), medical notes, lab and imaging requisitions.
- You’ll have access to a network of over 600 Canadian licensed physicians, even while travelling.

When you join our Elements plan, you’ll also get access to our full wellness program. Need a prescription? Don’t worry.
We do not have an overall maximum on prescription drugs. This means we won’t limit your access to prescription medication based on an annual maximum cost. No one can predict the future, and if you do need expensive medication, we want to be there for you. Many of our other benefits also do not have overall maximums. With our extensive dental coverage, the Essential and Enhanced modules do not have a maximum on fillings, extractions and root canals.
